Our aim is to prevent hospital admissions by reducing the number of accidents occurring around the home. Annually in NI there are approximately 70,000 hospital admissions and 70 deaths resulting from accidents around the home. Our target groups are the Over 65’s and Under 5’s and also the vulnerable. When we call with a householder, we look around the home and make recommendations as to how to reduce the chance of an accident. We carry a number of items of equipment which can be supplied e.g.; Touch lamps and bulbs, Helping Hands, long shoe horns and a host of other smaller items.
